I waited and got 2 and 3 on sale for $20 with all DLC’s. Mafia 3 review A bold new direction for the series that doesn’t quite pay off. Can’t wait to see where this series goes. Still like Mafia 1 the most, but the new game play has me wanting more.

I’m okay with no fast travel, but we definitely need a way to have auto drive enabled option so I can let the AI drive and allow the player to grab food/drink/let the dog out etc/go use the bathroom and come back to a mission. Ease of Play Simple controls easy to learn. The story is well presented but lacks the spark you find in more. While the story is excellent, and the combat is good overall, the world lacks substance. There is no fast travel so you physically need to drive each time which can be 15-20 minutes easily at times. It looks good and sounds good, but the core gameplay tasks arent as tight as they should be. Overall Mafia III is a good game, but it has some flaws. Collection of money is a pain to drive to that district each time to collect. But just four hours into it, I knew exactly what I was getting. Really good story that makes you feel the pain and anger. Mafia III's brand of action includes brutal gun play, stealth and of course, city driving. Playing on PS5 after replaying the original remastered Mafia 1.
